Letter from Director for Persons with Disabilities

posted Jul 14, 2011, 4:14 PM by Jen Burry

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself; my name is Anne Fagan-Wood and I have been elected Director for Persons with Disabilities at our PSAC’s 5th Triennial Atlantic Convention held on June 23 – 26th, 2011.

When I addressed the Persons with Disabilities’ caucus, my first promise was to create a communication network for all persons with disabilities in the Atlantic Region.

Therefore, with this letter, I would like to reach those that self identify in order to create a mailing list to keep you informed of what is happening with issues surrounding persons with disabilities in our workplaces. We have so many barriers that we need to address and I need your support every step of the way. Together, we can make a difference and I am so honoured to be your leader in this battle for equality.

In order for you to be added to the PSAC Persons with Disabilities Mailing List, you can do one of the following:

·         Email me at   fagana@psac-afpc.com

·         Call me at (w) 506-533-5867 OR (h) 506-335-0202

·         Search for me on Facebook under Anne Fagan-Wood, add me as a friend and send me a private message to add you to the mailing list. (PS: I will also have a Facebook list made up and will be able to send messages both via email and Facebook for those who prefer Facebook.)

We are responsible to create our own mailing list; therefore, I ask that you forward this letter to your fellow Brothers and Sisters who self identify and encourage them to contact me to be added to the mailing list.

I am looking forward to working on your behalf for the next three years and I will keep you posted of my efforts every step of the way.

In Solidarity,

Anne Fagan-Wood

Director, Persons with Disabilities
